Hi! I am looking for information relating to my paternal grandmother, "Mary Herring" who sadly I never met. She was the daughter of William herring (1863), of Gosbury, Staffordshire (?) and Snow Ellen Gray (1864) of Grantam Lancashire (? according to the 1911 census) I can only find a Grantham in Lincolnshire. Any information would be greatly appreciated .I live in hope that someone out there will be able to provide me with something that would tell me about my family. I have been desperately seeking answers over many years, but had no luck. Maybe I will even find relatives...... that would be fun. Thank you for taking the time to read this............... Hi My great GrandMother was Mary Ann Waite/Bland, she Married Thomas Wilcox. She was Daughter of John Bland and her Mother was Eliza. I have found John and Eliza in 1871, 1881, 1891 and 1901 Census. John died in 1901 and Eliza died 1936. I have not been able to find John in 1861, even though i found his Father John, Mother Rosanna, His Brother Joseph and Harriet Grandaughter in 1861 Census in Rotherfield Peppard. They were Basket Makers and Hawkers. Rosanna was a Jeffs, daughter of Rose Jeffs/Mike? Eliza i have finally found hers and Johns Marriage at St John Baptist COE, Kidmore End in 1893. She was Daughter of Stephen Sturgess and Ann Waite. Both Parents died when she and her Sister Mary were young girls. Eliza was born in 1844 in Kintbury, Berkshire, So now i know where the WAITE Surname came from, as they are found in the Census. On one Census they are both Married on another she is his Mistress? Can any one shed any light on where i can find John in 1841, 1851, and 1861 Census?? Does anyone Know Who John Bland the Elder's Parents are? Or who Rose was Married to, was it a Jeff or a Mike??
