George king b.1937This is a featured page

Hi i am new to this site, i tried starting a thread regarding my daughters great grandfather but i may of put it in the wrong section ( sorry!)
i would like to know if anyone on this site could be possible relations to my daughter and my partner. Iv researched the SCARD side of their family and found some interesting stories... but i now would like to do the King side of the family but i am getting no luck. Iv tried searching for my partners grandfathers birth cert but no where to be found.. my partner thinks his grandfather may never of been registered at birth.... His Name was George King he was born on the 25.10.1937 location unknown... possibly salisbury, romsey way .. he died back in 2003 dec oct-dec quarter.
I know all the desendants of his family but do not know any of his ancestors which is what we would like to find out. None of us know of his father or his name. however his mother was Lillie Barney.

Hi and welcome to RomanyJib, I agree that George King may not have been registered it may be worth considering that he may have been registered as a Barney, as we would need as much information as possible to stand any chance of giving you help and this could contain the names of people still alive, so I would suggest that you use the PM service if you want us to look for you! The declared birth date on the death registration could be incorrect as well - in our family we have an Aunt who stated her birth date as 5 Nov 1936 and as a Cooper (her father's surname)! When we did find her birth registration and obtained the certificate it was 4 Aug 1934 and as a Hughes (her mother's surname) - she had missed out on 2 years old age pension.
Do you find this valuable?
