Annabella Crutcher was baptised at Holybourne on the 29th September 1839 to George & Annabella Crutcher, on her baptism entry it has her date of birth as 18th September 1839.
Annabella had a relationship with Isaac Light, so far no trace of any formal marriage has been found.
Annabella & Isaac had at least 7 children,
Matilda born around 1858 baptised to Anabella Crutcher a Travelling Hawker at West Molesey, Surrey, on the 6th June 1858,
Matilda married Noah Hughes at Lymington on the 1st May 1889. Matilda named her father as George Crutcher, Licensed Hawker!
Is this because she knew her parents were not married so perhaps decided to use her Grandfathers name?
Eliza Crutcher born around 1859, married Walter White at Lymington on the 9th June 1888.
Betsy Crutcher born around 1863, Baptised to Annabella Crutcher a Traveller from Southhampton at West Molesey, Surrey on the 7th June 1863.
Henry Crutcher born around 1864, Henry was baptised at Binstead, Hampshire on the 3rd September 1865 to Isaac & Anabelia Light of no fixed abode, Hawker, Henry married Matilda Barney also on the 9th June 1888 he married as Henry Crutcher father Isaac Crutcher a Chair Mender.
Mark Crutcher born around 1867 married Betsy Ayres at the Register Office on the Isle of Wight on the 9th May 1932 he gave his age as 65 years and Betsy is shown as around 59, There is no fathers name shown for Mark.
Louisa Crutcher born around 1870 married George White at Lymington on the 3rd November 1888, her father is shown as Isaac Light a Hawker,
It is possible that Mark & Louisa were baptised on the 15th August 1870 at Compton Valence, Dorset as there are entries for Mark & Louisa children of Isaac & Ann Light, Traveller Hawker on the internet, Transcribed by Valerie Robbins from the Bishops Transcripts.
James Crutcher also known as James Light born around 1873, Married Amy Cooper at the Parish Church, Moordown, Hampshire on the 22nd March 1892 he is recorded as Jim Light father Isaac Light, Gipsy. James and Amy are in the 1911 census at Godshill, Isle of Wight with 8 Children all using the name Crutcher, when James died in 1939 his death was recorded as James Crutcher or Light and he was buried at St Thomas Church, Newport on the 30 March 1939 as James Light, His death and burial information was found on the Isle of Wight Family History site.
All the family marriages at Lymington have one thing in common, one of the witness’s was *F. J. Harries or Herries Lt Colonel J.P. Co Galway* this man appears on a large number of Traveller/Romany marriage certificate and is believed to be a member of the Church Army, there are variations on his detail’s and sometimes a mention of Linden House. The second witness is nearly always another known member of the Church Army.
*Update 20 Jan 2011* I mentioned the above information to member Norman Burton and he has identified him as -
Lieut.-Colonel FREDERIC STANSFIELD HERRIES, a regular army officer who retired in 1876. I have since looked at my records and found him to be a witness on 26 marriage certificates these marriages were at The Parish Church, Boldre, St Luke's Church, Sway and Lymington Register office. All these marriages took place between 1886 & 1895.

The Christchurch Times, Deaths and Obituary, 11 Oct 1930.
CRUTCHER - On September 28th, at 1 Spicer St, Christchurch, Mary beloved wife of Mark Crutcher, and daughter of Mr & Mrs John Burton.
Funeral Of "Mary"
FORTY COUPLES AT INTERMENT OF FLOWER SELLER.
Hundreds of people who knew her simply as "Mary." heard with regret of the death of Mrs. Crutcher, wife of Mr. Mark Crutcher, and seventh child of Mr. and Mrs. Burton, of 1, Spicer Street, Christchurch.
"Mary" was well-known in the townand district as a flower seller, and her sweet smile gained a warm corner in the hearts of all who knew her. Although only 33 years of age. she was the mother of seven children - two of whom she lost by death - and the youngest was born only 2 1/2 months ago.
She suffered an illness of many months, but gamely carried on until on Sept. 28 when she was striken down while preparing tea, being the victim of a stroke which affected her heart.
She was buried on Thursday last, on her 34th birthday, and it is estimated that no fewer than 40 couples were in the procession at the cemetery. The service was conducted by the Rev. C. H. Gilson (curate-in-charge of S. George's), while members of the Elim Tabernacle sang the hymn, "When the roll is called up yonder," after the body had been lowered into the grave. The two eldest children attended their mother's funeral, namely Sam and Mary ("Angelina"), and in addition to her hisband the othe principal mourners present were :- Mrs Caroline White (sister), Mr. & Mrs. Isaac White, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Goddard (brothers-in-law and sisters), Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Burton, Mr. and Mrs. John Burton and Mr. Noah Burton (brothers and sisters-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. Mark Crutcher (parents-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. Noah Burton (uncle and aunt), Mrs. Matilda Pateman (aunt), Mr. and Mrs. Walter Crutcher and Mr. and Mrs. J. Crutcher (brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law).
