I am trying to find out details on my Grandfather, Albert Buckland.
He was born we think in 1908, and lived in the Maidenhead Area, and passed away aged 58 in 1966.
His parents were Nathan and Matilda (also known as 'Tilly') Buckland.

especially if parents were not married
Just to clear up something :
This is not the same Plato some have on their trees found in Devon in 1881 that is my relative who married Betsy Small and went to America where they both died.

Plato died in 1926 Wycombe Buckinghamshire
aged 101 somewhere along time ago I read saw an article about his death in Headingdon quarry
when they burnt his vardo and it mentioned he had many children and grandchildren
In the 1891 Census you will see that Plato is listed with 2 Williams families
Ann Williams has 2 children :
which I am sure in past I was told Plato was the father of Williams children
Owen Williams ....... b 1867 Ascot Berkshire
Nathan Williams .....b 1876 Shinfield Berkshire
So in 1911 you have brothers together but each using parents surnames
Owen partnered his cousin Agnes Williams b 1870 also listed on 1891 Census daughter of Emma Williams
Look further down and you will see that there is a couple Fredrick & Macey Chapman
It is their daughter Nathan partners Matilda b 1880 St Albans Hampshire * not Herts*
as listed in 1911

Please can you let me know where you were able to find the deaths of: Father: Nathan Buckland 1967 Jan/Feb/Mar Maidenhead Berkshire 6A 36 aged 93 ( b 1874) Mother : Matilda Buckland 1954 Oct/Nov/Dec Maidenhead Berkshire 6A 29 aged 76 ( b 1878 ) The local town hall did not have them on record.
